Calamity Trigger - Sin (World: Spira)

"Oh shit!!!" Zora shouted as the thunder came towards them. Kuro immediately intercept the attack from its target by blocking it with his body. He let out an agonizing roar of pain before attempting to shake it off and took off charging at the monster. He then jumped and attempt to slashed down at it.

"Takato, you better not be dead yet!" Zora cried as she rushed to the bird monster, her right arm growing in size. She jumped on top of Kuro before he jumped and jumpedo ff his back afterwards. She lowered her arm and aimed it at the monster as gravity caued her to fall down towards him, intending on impaling the monster with her right arm.

Ima was a bit more prepared than Zora, and launched herself to the side, avoiding the attack. Gravity manipulation certainly came in handy at times like this. Still, someday she might want to make a setting on the gun that made some sort of shield.

Out of the corner of her eye, Ima saw Takato get hurt, and she got another weird feeling in her chest. But this was not a feeling that she liked. Not at all.

Ima took aim and pulled the trigger of her childish gun, and watch as the red beam flew towards the monster's head.

The creature screeched from being shot in the head, flapping its scratched wings as it tried to heal the deep wound on the side of its body. A vortex of light began to spin around it, only for Zora to send it into the earth below with a large boom. Dust fell over the area and silence echoed for a few moments.

Takato suddenly froze as his senses went nuts,

"Watch out!"

A screech echoed and the dust was blown away, a shock wave of wind lashing outwards as lightning began to crawl along the floor and walls, a build up of energy suddenly coming from the now angered creature. It seemed wounded, but its power was still rising, meaning that he had yet to even try.

At the very tip of the wounded head spawned a light, a building up of energy coming to form as the screech grew louder. Its wings spread out, its large form dwarfing them all as it began to charge its attack in an almost hungry manner.

"Oh dear." Ima said as she stared wide-eyed at the bird. This thing was certainly a looooooot stronger than that little bird creature they had seen when they had first arrived. It very well have been more on par with that huge monster that they had fought before they were sent here.

Not really knowing what else to do, the girl just began to rapid-fire the enemy.

"ARE YOU FUCKING SHITTING ME?!" Zora cried, backing away from the monster as it began to charge. "Fuck it! Kuro!"

The monsterous beast turned to Zeiya before dissolving into nothing more than a moving shadow. He quickly flew over to Zora and wrapped himself around her right arm. He then started to change the form of her arm, her fingers becoming more claw like and spikes spawning all over her arm. from the palm of her hand, a black spike in the shape of a sword forced its way out, causing blood to pour down on the ground.

"Takato, what the hell are you doing?! Don't just stand there like an idiot!!!" She shouted as she rushed over to the bird once again. Without Kuro, she isn't able to reach the bird's head. So with that figured out, she jumped as high as possible and did a diagonal slash at the monster. a black shadow wave of some sorts appeared as an aftermath of her original attack.

The beast screeched in anger and agony as blood dripped from its now newly formed wounds, flapping its wings to get away from Zora and the shots. Lightning sprang up around it once again, a great aura of power coming into existence at its head. It suddenly screamed as it let loose with an attack, blast after blast of lightning bolts ripping through the area without end

Takato did as asked, taking the role of a support Magi as he slammed his hands into the floor and let loose a pained roar, expanding his magical energy as Latin poured over his lips. A number of large stone walls formed around himself, Zora and Ima, blocking the hurricane of bolts as they shot out one after another,

Blood dripped from his nose as he shook his head, feeling the amount of force coming from that attack pounding into the very core of his magical nature. It took a lot to just keep those walls fully formed, only letting them down as the bird like creature suddenly began to glow...

"Shit, how strong is this damn beast?!" Zora shouted, only to freeze in her tracks as the green monster bird thing started to glow. Her eye twitched at the sight as she lowered her guard a bit out of disbelief.

"oh....son of a bitch...."

Shaking her head, she charged at the monster and slashed down again with her bladed arm.

Again, Ima stopped to stare at the creature in fascination. Why was is all shiny now? Was it going to do something? In all honesty the child would still rather be firing off questions than lasers. Still, at the very least she could try asking others about it later.

With that thought in mind Ima let the rapid-fire continue.

The beast screeched as it was torn into by the blade and shots, its skin slowly becoming a mere wave of blood, wounds becoming larger and deeper. Safe to say, the beast might of been strong, but it never dodged once in the battle, meaning that it had taken every single blow dealt by Ima and Zora, point blank. Thus, it slowly began to fade away in a flicker of blue lights, but not before letting loose one last mighty attack.

A single massive wave of raw power and thunder exploded outwards at them, holding enough power to erase the entire room. The wounded figure of a certain Mage flew past Zora and Ima, Latin pouring over his lips as he threw up his hand, letting loose a large echoing scream,

It was time to do his bit to help the two

"FATALIS ORBIS!"

What came next could only be described as pure Magic. A aura of blue light exploded forth from Takato, tearing apart his black shirt and pieces of his skin. A small trail of light formed in mid air, slowly spinning to create a massive glyph hovering just slightly beyond his outstretched palm.

The final attack unleashed by the beast slammed into the glyph, a flicker of light forming around everything behind the blood dripping Magi. Not a single bolt managed to get pass the glyph, the hurricane of power howling as it pushed against the shield spell,

"I..can't keep this up!" grunted Takato as he strained, his hand shaking. The energy and howling thunder pushed against the barrier he had formed, drops of blood running down the edges of his scarred cheeks. He was slowly being pushed backwards, his voice spitting out Latin in a sea of words, doing all he could to reinforce the spell,

"Incipio Confestim vi Magica! FATALIS ORBIS!"

Safe to say, it wasn't working. The blast was too powerful for him, but if he let the shield down...

OOC: You'll probably -love- the next plot point before we jump back onto the main plot.

Takato's Spells:
Much like Zora and Ima, he is showing more and more attacks (or Spells for him), yet the latest one revealed seems to be extremely strong. "Fatalis Orbis" or "Fated/Deadly Circle" is a shield spell, which uses the life force of the caster to form. It is a forbidden B-rank spell, and rightly so. Sadly, if Quetzalcoatl had been at full strength, the attack would of ripped right through it.

Zora beats him in physical ability with ease, and Ima has more raw power than him. Thankfully, Takato makes up his failings with versitility, having a number of Spells that can suit the situation (summon walls of stone, let loose blasts of lightning, heal wounds, form a sword, ect ect..)

Let me make this clear though: He is, in physical ability, a pure normal Human. Though only time he can ever do anything beyond a normal Human is when he is within Neko-Ken. Remember, he is a Western Magi, not a Japanese Mage or Fairy Tail one.

He can't punch out Cthulhu.

1. Incipio Confestim vi Magica = I begin immediately with the force of magic.

Zora's eyes widen at the monster's final attack, even more shocked seeing Takato trying to protect them in his weaken condition. "Idiot! Are you trying to commit suicide?!" She shouted as she circled around the attack and Takato. The sword from her palm retracted, causing blood to come out before the wound healed itself. Her arm returned to how it normally looks before growing big and more of a monster's giant claw. She dragged it behind her as she ran up tot he monster, her arm turning completely black as Kuro removed himself from her. He turned into his beast form, giving Zora attemptable access to reach the monster's head.

Taking this chance, she jumped onto the mosnter and lauched herself in the air, raising her arm, and slamming it right on top of the monster, her claw's fingers piercing through his entire being. However, this also caused her to take the attack headon to her hand since she was attacking his head....

She wasn't really sure what to do, Ima. If she left the shield to attack there was little doubt in her mind that she'd be able to dodge the monster's final blow. But there wasn't really anything she could do to help Takato either, and he was having so much trouble protecting them. She frowned.

What was this feeling deep in her gut? That felt like she sort of...broken?

She didn't know, and she didn't like it.

Ima just floated up a little so that she could reach Takato's arm and put her own hand on it. She didn't know if it would do anything at all but...it was all she could think of.

The final attack launched by Zora tore into it, with its own blast being contained by the young Magi. The unleashed hurricane of power finally exploded in a sea of white light, many blue pyreflies slowly leaking up through the view.

Then, the room became silent.

The British Magi fell to his knees, his breath harsh as he held his wounded form. The entire view had returned back to being a single temple hallway within the Trials, leaving the battle ground they had fought in a mere memory. The large bird-like creature had vanished in its defeat, leaving behind a small orb-like object.

Words boomed throughout the trials, words that only the trio could hear,

You have defeated my madness and proved yourselves worthy. I, am Quetzalcoatl, bringer of Lightning. One of you may receive my power and aid, but only one. Simply step forward and take the sphere.....

Takato groaned and stood up weakly, blinking at the voice,

"Ow."

The power of Quetzalcoatl:
One of the trio may take the sphere and gain its summon, along with a section of its power. It is one of the many summons (or bossess) that will appear in this storyline, but make note that you can only have one GF. Safe to say, if anyone takes it, they will not get another. A GF is not an Aeon, they bestow the holder with power and can only do one single attack.

Zora panted as she stared at the sphere on the ground before falling back and hitting the ground with a 'thud'. Her monsterous arm returned to normal as she rested on the ground.

"Fuck...what the hell was that thing?" She said out loud, staring at the ceiling. "Screw that thing...I just want to sleep now..."

Kuro let out a tired huff as he shrank back to his tiny kitten form. Walking over to the sphere, he tilted his head before pushing it with his paw and watchign it roll. Within moments, he started to play with it.

Ima sighed as she let herself float to the ground, watching Kuro play with the orb. Her chest felt much lighter now, though not completely normal. Human emotions were so strange...but so utterly fascinating!

She tore her eyes from the kitten and looked between the two humans. "Do you want me to use the white and green lasers on you?" She asked them, hoping that she could help.

Then she looked at the sphere again. "What should we do with it?"

Takato just grunted and limped over to the orb, the illusion over Kuro allowing him to easily take the sphere and gaze at it without screaming “Cat.” Suddenly, the small round object began to glow, a spark of lightning rushing around his body. After a few seconds the object had vanished, but something had changed within the Rutherford.

His amber eyes shone a bright blue colour, only to return to their original state a blink later. He seemed to be listening to something, scratching his head before he laughed, ignoring his injuries. Finally he turned to the small alien girl and nodded, his voice echoing,

"Y-Yeah, heal us up, Ima. We've still got to check if that summoner is fine..."

OOC: Seeing as neither Ima or Zora seemed interested, guess this is Takato's one.

Takato Rutherford acquired Quezacotl!

"Mrawr!" Kuro whined as Takato took away the sphere. He ran up to him and started to paw at his leg, begging to give it back.

"Fuck, I don't even want to get up!" Zora conplained, putting her left hand over her eyes. "Leave me here and go check up on them...I'm going to sleep."

Ima set the dial on her laser before pointing it at Takato and pulling the trigger. A white beam shot out of it and hit Takato before she shot at Zora and Kuro as well. The child set the dial once more before repeating the process, this time the ray a green color.

"All done!" She said with a smile.

Small time skip..

Takato stood on the steps of the Besaid temple, the dark sky above lit up because of the burning fire at the centre of the peaceful yet happy party. His amber eyes shone in the light, his gaze landing on a certain summoner girl that had recently shown off her summoning powers. It wasn't all that shocking for the Magi, but he had to admit that such summoned beasts were rarely available in their own world.

Here I was thinking summoners were all old geezers....

The young girl he had shouted at before, Yuna, was the summoner. She was quite pretty, that he had to admit, but she seemed almost timid, as if almost trapping the determination and anger she had within herself for another target....

He sighed and shrugged, heading over to the crusaders lodge for a nap.

Yuna laughed as she spoke and played with the small child running around her, yet her eyes kept meeting a familiar amber pair, thoughts running through her mind. She could barely contain herself from thinking of the odd bitter teenager, his words from before crashing into her heart, and faith. She had broken down into tears the second she had escaped his view, and now she wasn't sure if she could be his presence much longer, even after he had seemingly come to help her.

His companions on the other hand were much more easy to mull over, unable to contain the soft smile across her lips as her gaze strayed to a certain small girl. Ima. Yuna had felt her untapped maternal instincts rise up within her when the child had first crossed her gaze. Only the almost fierce and protective auras that the two teenagers bled had scared her off.

If Takato was a wild horse, and Ima was a lion cub, then Zora was certainly an angry fiend. Unlike the bitter intellect that the Rutherford had, or the overwhelming cuteness Ima seeped, Zora gave off a cold and forced politeness. Yuna had to admit to herself that she was intimidated by this other girl, but was quite awe-struck by her as well. She only hoped she could be strong like that someday..

"VICTORY! VICTORY! VICTORY!"

Yuna giggled as she was broken from her thoughts, her eyes coming across another stranger standing with Wakka and the lads...

"Bah, will those guys jus tshut the hell up so i can sleep?" She muttered as she used her right arm to cover her eyes this time, not caring th at her black, unusual, and monster-like arm was in perfectly full view for everyone to be disgusted of.

She was surprised, yet not, as she found out that Yuna was the summoner. All she knows is that she absolutely despised the Cloister of trials after what just happened to them.

Kuro walked up to Yuna, meowing as his tail went left and right. Soon, he put his paws on her boot and meowed again.

Despite Zora's protest, it did nothing to quell Ima's laughter. She was having a lot of fun playing with Yuna, and was really happy. Why wouldn't she be? She had made a new friend! That was two human friends! Maybe she could get Zora to be her friend too...

Out of the corner of her eye she saw Takato leaving and paused in what she was doing. A part of her wanted to go with him, but he was probably going to rest. Humans needed sleep.

"Never be like these people, Ima, never."

His words still rang through her head. Ima had meant it when she had promised not to be, really she did.

But...

She turned back to Yuna and gave a big grin.

...it was okay to be their friend, right?

Time skip...

Another day.

Takato looked up at the clouds, his red coat waving in the unseen wind flowing along the docks. His amber eyes turned to gaze at the boat they were about to board. He could faintly see the summoner and her companions heading towards it from the steep path through the fauna, his gander meeting a multicoloured stare.

He broke the staring contest between himself and Yuna before slowly coming to walk along the docks, his gloved hands holding up a map and note he gained from a certain lodge. He had told his own companions last night that they couldn't stay on this island, and the best option would be to board a boat to the capital of this land.

The Rutherford slung a rucksack over his shoulder and then turned to look back up at the path leading to Besaid, his lips becoming a line. He had supplies now, thanks to the currency earned off a few stray fiends, but even a wanderer like himself worried about the current future ahead.

"Those two better not be late..."

Takato chuckled to himself and finally sighed, running a free hand through his head. He spied a certain fox running up to him before he span on his foot and turned to head to the boat ahead, two small paws landing on his shoulder. His ears perked as he stepped onto the boat, hearing people crying as they waved to Yuna, noticing a rather odd-looking blonde male standing behind her.

He ignored this and came to a breech point of the boat, placing his rucksack down...

Ima walked slowly to where Takato and the boat were. She really didn't want to go ride in that thing. The water stuff really freaked her out. There was nothing like that at all where she came from, not even close.

Stll, there was no way she was going to stay here. It would be no fun at all without Takato.

The girl reached Takato and poked him in the side to get his attention. "Um..." she said, not sure if what she was going to ask was okay. "Do you mind if I just float above you guys?"

Zora walked up to the dock at the moment Ima nad takato got on the boat. Looking back, she narrowed her eyes as she looked at Besaid Island once more.

"Meow." Kuro said from on top of her head as he tilt his head in confusion.

"...It's nothing." she muttered as she walked up and into the boat, paying no mind to Takato OR Ima as she walked up to thefront of the boat and sat down, leaning against something as she put her hands behind her head nd fell asleep.

The boat began to move.

"Sure, just be careful, okay'?"

Takato smiled at Ima as he nodded at her question, his amber gaze flashing to the silent Zora before he turned away. He took hold of the sack and then waved the alien girl off, walking up the stairs leading to a higher perch of the ship. He could faintly hear some of the passengers whispering as they gazed at Zora and Ima, a hidden hint of disgust and fear within their voices,

He dropped the rucksack next to a post and then walked over to a ledge, looking down at the lower section he had just been on. His gaze fell upon the blonde teenager playing around with a pair of binoculars, and the group of people gathering around Yuna. The Rutherford just chuckled and then dug out a small book, flipping it open as he blocked off the world,

"Word is that summoner's got noble blood!"

"I heard she's Lord Braska's daughter!"

"Ya don't say?"

Kuro's ears twitched as he heard whispers regarding to Zora before hissing at the others.

"Oi, calm down. It's nothingto hiss about." she said as she plucked the black kitten off her head and put him on the ground. "Try not to fall overboard like last time.

Kuro's head drooped before he bounded around the ship. Soon, he spotted the red haired man they saw earlier and ran to him, meowing as he pawed at his leg.

Zora let out a sigh, zoning out the whipsers. She was already use to it...seeing she has a black, monster like arm that she can barely hide. She didn't feel liek sleeping so she just stared out into space.
