Calamity Trigger - Sin (World: Spira)

Giving a sigh of relief, Ima floated up and far away from the water, so far that it had virtually no chance of touching by normal means. She was still within sight and earshot, however, so if she needed she could talk or be talked to. Might take a bit of shouting, but nonetheless.

She watched the people on the ship. Maybe it was just her, but she though that they were giving her odd looks. Why? Had she done something wrong?

Ima smiled and waved at the people before turning her attention to where she was floating. Hopefully they would reach land soon...

Later...

The boat suddenly shuddered.

Takato dropped his book as he felt the floor beneath him shake, an immense pressure of magical energy smashing through his mind. He could faintly hear others shouting, the summoner being caught by her guardians as another impact shook the vessel. His eyes snapped to the side of the boat, his boots kicking off the ledge and launching himself down to the bottom deck,

"What is going on..!?"

The seas around the boat raged violently, raining down water from the sky as a vicious wind picked up. Then, it happened. Screams echoed as something humongous broke through the surface of the ocean. A massive wall of grey picked up outside the left side of the boat, towering over the boat with ease.

It was no wall.

"Sin."

For a single instance, Takato tasted hopelessness.

OOC: The fin alone of Sin dwarfs the boat. Yeah, it is one big creature.

"Whoa!" Zora said as she nearly fell over from her sitting position and quickly stood up. Looking around, she could notice the sea was unusually violent as the ship swayed massivly from side to side, threatening to drag the people into the water.

"Nyan!" Kuro cried as he started sliding down the boat before quickly running and clutching onto Takato's pants with his small yet deadly sharp claws.

"What's going on?" Zora said as she ran to the edge of hte boat, stumbling over every time th Boat violently shook. She got to the ledge and looked around before her eyes widen, a giant grey....thing was revealed out of the water.

"Sin!" Someone cried out as everyone began to panic. A few people headed to the harpoons and position themselves to fire.

"What do you think you're doing?" Wakka shouted, taking a step forward. "Stick a harpoon in him and we'll all get dragged under!"

"Sin is going for Kilika! We gotta distract it!" One of them said.

"Our families are in Kilika! Forgive us, Lady Summoner." Another replied as he looked back at Yuna. The summoner simply nodded, understanding them as the man turned around and aimed the harpoon.

"Wait!" Wakka said as they prepaired to fire. "Oh boy..."

Soon the two men fired off the harpoons, straight to Sin's Fin.

Ima frowned as she concentrated on staying in the air, the wind and weather making it somewhat challenging.Then she saw what was causing it and her eyes widened. It was huge! She had never seen anything that big in her life!

She watched as the people launched sharp pointy things at it. Should she try and help? Ima wasn't sure.

Eventually she decided to float next to Takato. "What should we do?" She asked him over the great noise.

"T-Take out the little ones! I'm going to cut that rope." trilled Takato to the small girl as he watched blue pod like shapes impact the deck of the ship, forming certain small blue bug creatures as they began to attack the crew. He watched the summoner and party rush in to help, his own form activating his Pactio before slashing through an attacking fiend.

"Zora, stay away from the fin, its letting off an intense magical aura! Who knows what it is going to do!"

OOC: The story will now shift depending on what they do. You'll see...

"Wait, that's its fin?!" Zora shouted, alreadhy at one of the rope's ends."Tch...fine!" Reluntantly, she turned around and rushed over to one of the smaller blue bugs, her right arm growing bigger as she slashed downards at it, destroying it.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE THINGS?!?!?!"

The yell cracked through the air, followed by multiple small firing sounds. A small semi-cicle of Sin Spawn had formed around a new prey, pulling in closer and closer very slowly, only for one in the middle to be taken out by an unseen force, it's head exploding and goo from it's inside landing on the deck of the ship. The Spawn next to it stopped, looking at their fallen "sibling", then at the source of it's death.

A whirling sound sang into the air, as two handguns spun through the space around him, hung on his knuckle-gloved middle fingers, then locking in target effortlessly, like they had been trained to do so.

"Hmph."

A smirk cracked the face of the young man. Somehow, through the near-death experience and this battle for survival against one of, if not the deadliest creature known in this place, he found amusement. A quick shake of his head brushed the silver hair from his face, his red eyes darting from Spawn to Spawn, trying to find the weak spot.

"You guys wanna dance? Fine......."

The man spun his guns again, crossing his arms in an X our infront of him, his guns turned sideways.

"Then let's Dance!"

The firing began, some bullets hitting their marks, biting deep into the heads of his enemies, some going astray and flying into to ocean. The Spawn picked up the speed, but the man did the best he could to hold them back, a smirk on his face the entire time.

Ima nodded before pulling out her gun and aiming for one of the smaller monsters. She shot one that was latched onto some guy, making sure not to hit him while she did so. Then she ran closer to the fray.

After shooting a good number more, she looked around. These things were everywhere! Almost as if they respawned or something. Whatever it was, it didn't seem that they were doing much damage.

She shot another creature that was about to leap on some blond guy's face before yelling to Takato. "I don't think this is working!"

"Yeah, looks like it. Ima, keep the crew safe with your powers, I'm gonna think of something!"

Takato launched himself past the unknown male, Ima, and Zora, slashing through a few bug fiends before heading up to the front of the ship. He took a leap and landed onto the front point of the vessel, balancing with some error as he watched the giant fin come to meet the same direction.

He couldn't cut the rope just yet, but he had to do something. His amber eyes narrowed and he felt a hurricane of water fly upwards as the beast moved,

"This thing is heading to Kilika, but it will tear us apart if we don't do something. Wait..!" He paused then looked over his shoulder at the trio, his eyes landing on a certain girl “Hey, Zora, can you keep these little beasts off me? I'm going to use a spell, but I'll need to concentrate!”

A moan of wood cracking could be heard, more pods impacting against the boat. Takato frowned and then looked over at a certain gunman, giving a brief signal and shout “Stranger! Can you shoot any incoming pods before they launch fully from Sin?”

"You tell ME not to go near him." Zora muttered under her breath, slashing the blue bugs. "All right, but you better hurry! I don't trust the fact that stupid fin is doing nothing!" She shouted as she used her arm to kill off the bugs. Kuro grew into his beast form and started raging rampade at the bugs as they started to multiply rapidly.

Nodding, Ima kept firing on the creatures, making sure that none actually touched any of the people on board. Of course this was easier said than done. There were a lot of both of them. Still, somehow she managed to do it, though she wasn't sure if she'd be able to keep it up very long.

The man looked over to Takato, a look of sarcasm upon his face as he spoke out "Well, doesn't seem like I have a choice now, do I?" He spun the guns again, aiming them into the air, readying himself for the hail of Spawn.

"Wait for it........"

The pods launched into the air, flying higher and higher during every moment.

"Waaaaait for it.........."

The pods arched in the sky, turning to face the ship before rocketing down at it like falling rain. The man smirked, his eyes coming alive with excitment!

"NOW!"

The triggers were pulled, bullets flew into the air like a flock of ravenous birds, piercing deep into the pods, some exploding in mid air, others flying off course and crashing into the ocean around then.

"Man I love the sound of that!" The stranger yelled, acknowledging the splattering sound of guts and juices on the ground around him "Just feel the beat!" He began to show off, placing the guns behind his head, back, under his legs, and in other tricks before pulling a trigger and hearing a click.

"Out of ammo.....damn...."

Takato suddenly clapped his hands together, deactivating his Pactio as strings of latin poured over his lips. The sea began to roar and smash against the ship, a build up of energy forming around the Magi. A large glypth flared beneath him, magical energy running over his fingers. Lashing parts of the ocean shot upwards around the boat, turning to ice as they all aimed at Sin.

“Locos Umbrae Regnans Scáthach! In Manum Meum Dedo Iaculum Daemonium Cum Spinis Triginta!”

Or rather, its fin.

Ima couldn't help but pause in her action to watch. It was so amazing how Takato could do so much with just words. A part of her wished that she could to. But at the same time, she couldn't really imagine herself any other way.

Then the girl realized what she was doing and continued what she had been doing, barely saving some guy from needing a new face.

She needed to pay more attention.

Some of hte blue pods managed to ellude the stranger and charged towards Takato. Zora quickly disposed of them with the use of her right arm. Standing there and looking around for any more of those weird monsters, her vision startedto fade as he fell to one knee, panting heavily.

"D-Damn it..." she muttered as everything started to spin. ~I've been using my arm more than usuall...it's starting to affect me now.~ She thought as he staggered up and took out another Sinspawn. "Hurry up, stupid beansprout!"

"RAAAAHHHH!!"

A blood thristy roar left the stranger's lips as he came down with full hatred upon a sin Spawn, slicing it clean in two! As the corpse split away, the weapon of choice was displayed. It was a massive sword, about five feet in length, the hilt decorated in silver skulls and what appeared to be runes.

With elegance and ease, the strange spun the sword in his hands, almost dancing around the deck of the ship as Spawn after Spawn were cleaved into pieces! Ammo, who needed it, this was more fun anyway!

"If I wasn''t fighting for my life, this would be pretty damn fun!" The stranger called out to no one in particular, giving off a laugh as he stopped his attack for a second "When am I not fighting for my life?"

“Iaculation Grandinis!”

Many enormous blasts of ice exploded outwards from sea, firing rapidly and impaling the beast with spear shaped forms, unending in the barrage. The variation of Iaculatio Fulgoris continued to shoot without end, much easier to pull off thanks to the vast resource of water. Takato actually began to notice the beast focus on them, an odd roar echoing over the sea,

It didn't seemed hurt, but it did seem quite annoyed as it was bombarded with ice spears.

"Right, now for the final attack." toned Takato before looking over his shoulder at a certain summoner, his eyes flashing with a hint of blue. "Yuna, call upon Valefor and use all its power on Sin! We need to hit that thing hard, right now."

Yuna blinked in surprise before nodding,

"R-Right!"

In a flash of dancing movement, the large bird creature formed into existence before flying upwards to the front of the ship. Takato held up a hand and then closed his eyes, grasping the force within his own mind. After a few moments, his eyes snapped open to reveal a piercing blue gaze,

"V-Valefor, Energy Ray!"

"Quetzalcoatl, Thunder Storm!"

Safe to say, Sin did not expect to be torn into by a wave of energy, nor get consumed by a unending storm from an unknown creature. The electricity alone in the attack made it all the worse with Sin being in water. Combined with the safety net of ice, it was all out hell on earth for the massive creature.

It was having a bad day. It wasn't hurt, but it was still quite frustrated. Acting like any beast confronted with an unexpected foe, it turned its tail and decided it couldn't be bothered crushing Kilika today, or the bothersome boat. Which was a good thing too, as Takato fell on his ass and dropped the summon, along with the ice magic.

Yet, it wasn't over.

OOC: Guess what? Sinspawn in the sea, and Taka is out of MP XD

The small girl would have cheered had she not made a point to stay focused on the enemies this time. She did notice, however, that there seemed to be fewer of them now. Had Sin leaving scare them? Or maybe they had finally reached a turning point in the battle?

Either way Ima kept blasting.

"Finally..."Zora muttered as he looked at the water, exhausted. No matter how much she would try to hide it, she was definetely getting weaker than how she was the first time she and Takato met. Something movedi n the water and she blinked, rubbing her eyes and looking again, seeing nothing.

Wakka was relieved as well that Sin was gone, but started to look around in a somewhat of a panic. Zora took note of this action and realised the blonde guy that she saw with the Aurochs earlier wasn't here. She looked in the water, frowning. "Shit..don't you tell me..!" she hissed before backing away. Taking a very deep breath, she ran towards the edge and jumped over it, diving into the water, tuning out the protests of Wakka and some other bystanders. Swimming around, she looked for any sign of the boy.

The Stranger's sword sunk in the deck of the ship, his free hand wiping his forehead. "Man, gotta love this lifestyle!" He smirked, noticing that massive creature retreating for the time being. "I've always loved the sight of blood" The strange reached into the right chest pocket of his black trench coat, removing a single red rose which was surpsingly undamaged "As red as the beauty of a rose." He brought the flower to his nose, taking in it's scent.

"D-Damn." cursed Takato tiredly as he noticed energy signatures in the water. Yet, he was out of mana, so he was less than a Human at the moment. Sure, his metal arm granted him a deal of strength, but other than punching a few fiends, he was next to useless now.

The water rumbled as larger fiends and sinspawn swam around, coming to focus upon the swimming Zora and the rather tired Tidus. Each one did not look pleased, and the largest (a octopus-like beast) seemed rather hungry when it gazed at the girl.

Yet, that wasn't all. Something massive was coming towards the boat, moving through the water like a snake. Its shadow could be seen in the distance, giving it away that it wasn't as big as Sin, nowhere near, but it was at least as long as the boat.

Zora finally managed to spot Tidus and quickly swimming to him. She started shaking and giving him a smack on the face in order to wake him up. She felt unnatural movements and turned around, nerely opening her mouth as she mentally gaped at hte monsters before her.

~Damn', this is bad.~ she thought before grabbing Tidus and attempting to swim away. ~There's no way in hell I have enough energy to take that THING out by myself...wake up, you idiot!~

"OH YEAH! NOW IT'S A PARTY!"

The stranger ran to the railing of the ship, removing his black leather trenchcoat and hurling it onto the deck, revealing the strange leather belt harness that was strapped onto his muscled body as a means of holding his large sword in place. He leaped onto the side railing, measuring his spot and waiting for the right time to strike. He watched Zora and tidus make their way by, then spotted the closest fiend to them.

"Oh this is going to mess up my hair...........LET'S GO!"

The stranger jumped from the rail, falling down from the ship with his sword and feet aimed directly down. As the hungry creature made it's way by, the stranger landed, plunging the blade into it's head, causing the fiend to let out a roar of pain before throwing it's head forward, tossing him away and removing his sword from the wound. The stranger slammed into the water, stay submerged for a few moments before rising to the surface, taking a deep breath.

"Damn it.....that usually works."

Party? More like a nightmare.

The water before the boat screamed in submission as something broke through it, a massive form coming to glare down upon the boat. It was a sea serpent, a very hungry and almost crazed looking sea serpent. Blue and green scales shone in the sunlight, the sounds of panicked screams coming from the passengers as they gazed upon something they had never seen before.

Yuna seemed to be staring at it in utter horror, her eyes filled with almost knowing torment, information flowing through her mind. Takato knew this creature from sheer myth, and a familiar source. It seemed Quezacotl knew this monster, it knew it very well indeed.

Leviathan.

Sinspawn in the water seemed frightened of the much larger predator. The Rutherford could only stand up with a struggle, gaping with reflecting amber eyes. He began to back away, his eyes trailing upwards to the head and meeting the soulless stare.

There was no need to mix words as it roared, the water crying out for it to stop as the very ocean was twisted around it to meet its needs. Sin may of towered over this thing, but even the terror that the whale like beast gave out did not compare to the overwhelming supremacy this thing bled. It had no mercy, and here in the ocean God was its bitch.

Takato summed it up the whole thing in one word,

"Bollocks."

OOC: The 2nd GF shows itself, and boy is it a doozy. I'm now waiting for Dee before doing anything.

This time, Zora opened her mouth in shock before quickly covering it. Grabbing a hold of Tidus, she quickly swam to the surface and gasped, gulping the precious air that she foolishly let loose in the water. After coughing, gagging, and gasping, she looked at Takato and pointed at the giant dragon.

"Ok, how the hell are we suppose to take town THAT thing?!" She shouted as she attempted to swim back to the boat.
