Calamity Trigger - Sin (World: Spira)

Depending on them? Ima wasn't to sure what to think of that. Still, she knew that Takato and Zora were very tired from what happened on the boat. She was too, but knew that she could at least last for a while longer. And the sun was out, so it shouldn't be a problem anyway.

Still, it being all up to them made her a little nervous.

Nonetheless, at the same time Raven's words inspired her a bit. Ima gave him a smile. "Okay!" She said as she pulled out her gun.

The child copied Raven and waited for the other person to strike.

Something whistled through the air as three objects wizzed by, nailing the three boys right on the head.

"Jeez, when I said I needed rest, I meant I needed rest...PEACE AND FUCKING QUIET!" Zora shouted as she walked up to them, rubbing the back of her head with her right hand. She blinked as she saw the strange boy with white hair before pointing at Raven.

"He a friend of yours, punk?"

"I could ask you the same thing".

Raven made no eye contact with her, staying focused.

"He fights the same way as Takato, he uses the same magic. I assume he's form your neck of the woods."

His voice picked up, now anticipating the next move in this game they called battle.

"Now go back to resting.......or get out of the way."

The grey haired boy seemed to smirk as a chuckle echoed over his lips, a hand coming up. Magically created water swarmed around him, slowly twisting upwards in a vortex motion. In a matter of seconds a gigantic ball of ice stood hovering above the foursome, cold blue eyes flaring with light as a voice echoed,

"Malleus Aquilonis." (Hammer of the Ice God)

Then, with a mere wave of his hand, he dropped it. He dropped a building sized orb of raw ice straight down upon the group in a meteor motion. Takato grit his teeth as he stared up at their impending doom, knowing that they were dealing with a Western Mage higher than his own class.

He had no way to cast a defensive spell, or activate a Pactio either...

Immeaditely Ima changed something on her gun and pointed it at the sky where the giant block of ice was. She didn't bother looking up as she pulled the trigger.

The beam was red as it most often was. But this one, this one was MASSIVE. It shot up toward the sky, bigger than any that the others had seen before, and certainly bigger than the tiny and childish gun seemed able to.

With ease it covered the attack, the moment it hit the ice flat out evaporated, turning straight into vapor with a great hissing noise. In no time it was completely gone.

Ima just smiled at the stranger.

She'd protect her friends.

Raven spent no time waiting, knowing exactly that his new friends were safe. He pun the sword within his hands one time before locking onto his target, knowing that this strike had to count. He closed his eyes just for one second, then reopened them.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Something had changed in Raven, he didn't know what, but he was fighting for more here. Close the gap, close the gap. All he could think was close the gap.

"Try this tough guy!"

A wicked slash with equal force swung up at the unknown Magi. He knew at a range that this fight would be extreme, but up close, the weapon master Gunman knew he had the advantage.

The boy seem surprised that she managed to do such a thing to his spell, arching an eyebrow before turning to meet the incoming blade from his attacker. It took only to a single second to react, a hand twitching as his voice trailed over his pale lips

"Hm. Vinctus Aquarius." (Water Binder)

The air suddenly screamed, a large rush of water lashing upwards to stop the blade for the grey haired Magi. It seemed to struggle, but it didn't matter anyway. His eyes trailed across the edge of the sword as he spoke, his tone dry. "Hmm, a lazy constructed metal in the form of a Human weapon, a blade. How intimidating..."

He suddenly turned into a flicker, his image phasing out of sight before coming to form in front of the small child. He brought up his hand to the face of the cute girl, his soulless blue eyes echoing with hidden power. "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Fate Averruncus, I will be burning your face off this evening. Flagarantia Rubicans."

Ima's eyes widened a bit in shock before she put up her arms to protect her face. The force of the blow knocked her back, and the scent of burned cloth and flesh filled the air.

The child recovered from the blow and bit her lip, resisting the urge to check her injured arms. They were already beginning to heal anyway. Fast recovery was a necessity for her species sometimes. Ima hoped they wouldn't notice.

The girl ignored the pain in her arms and changed something on the gun again before she lifted the gun in Fate's direction. Not forgetting her manners, she said to him. "Nice to meet you, my name is Ima Terran."

Then she intensified Fate's gravity and fired, the red beam back to its normal size.

This was it! Ima had brought the hammer down in terms of the gravity force upon Fate. The time was now to strike.

"Lazy constructed...........Mother fu-"

Raven had enough. His arms began to shake. Normally, this pompous asshole could've kicked rocks for all he cared, but the insult to his sword was an insult to his being. He would pay. He would pay in blood! That's when it happened. A red, almost crimson mist-like energy began to eminate from Raven, pulsing like his beating heart. Raven's eyes took a shade of a deep rose-colored red, his breathing becomming calmer, more focused. The energy around him began to float, down the gripping limbs of the Weapon Master, onto the very blade itself.

The sword was engulfed in the crimson fury, something about it changing as well. The energy took a sharper edge to the already phenomenal edge of the weapon. He saw the laser of Ima rushing to the enemy, and struck out at the same time. He ran full force once again, this time his fury guiding him.

He could dis and reappear at any moment, his magic was strong, but Raven's drive to survive, his need to keep his promises, both of them, they surpassed anything. Immediately, Raven leapt into the air, swinging his enerized blade down again, more force than before, words rushing from his lips in a force.

"CURSE WAVE!"

With the slash, the energy unleashed. A wave of black and crimson energy raged its way to Fate's position, hopefully hitting before anything else could occur.

Fate felt the raw pressure wrack his form, the blast zooming in upon him as his gazed back with surprise. He slowly brought up a hand and then calmly waved it, slapping his palm into the laser. A large cloud of smoke washed over him from the collision, a small explosion shaking the earth as the second attack slammed into his back. They had both quickly consumed him in a pillar of smog and life, yet...

“Sorry.”

A hurricane of wind exploded forth, ripping through trees as the smoke was blown away. Fate had his entire back clothing torn apart, a long scar along the edge of his revealed skin. His front had been burnt, a hole torn straight through the cloth where his heart should be. He looked rather burnt and simply scarred, yet mostly amused considering such high-scale attacks.

Yet, the gravity barely let him move.

"You tried your best, but it simply wasn't worth it," toned Fate as he closed his eyes, bringing up a clenched fist. His words tailed over his charming lips, an explanation coming forth. "Those attacks would work on most creatures, I admit. Manipulation of raw energy and gravity is indeed impressive, yet not all spells require casting, they simply exist."

A shiver of energy ran over his skin at this.

His blue eyes snapped open, the smile on his face becoming wider and wider. The trees around them suddenly began to glow, a light streaming from each sign of life. Chants of Latin began to hiss along the air, his stare looking straight at Raven and Ima. "Veniant Spiritus Glaciales Obscurantes... Cum Obscuratione Flet Tempestas Nivalis...."

(Come, Spirits of Ice and Darkness...O Snowstorm which Blows with Darkness...)

Ima didn't allow herself the time to be surprised. Her mind was racing at what to do. Fate had said not all spells needed to be cast, but this one did, right?

So if they made him stop talking...

Ima picked up a rock from the ground and, yet again, adjusted the settings on her gun. She held the stone in front of the laser gun, and took aim at the blue-eyed guy and fired.

The beam was bright orange this time, and sent the rock flying at speeds comparable to, if not faster than, a speeding bullet. Her aim was true. It was heading straight for the enemy Magi's jaw. At the last possible second before it hit, Ima adjusted it gravity, making it weigh about the same as a elephant.

Hopefully that would work.

Great thinking! That was all that ran through Raven's mind at the innovative attack by the young girl. He had no idea how she did this, or where she had received any amount of battle training, but this girl was extremely well versed.

This one attack was up to her, though.

Raven's oath to avoid using his favorite weapons, his guns, as some sign of proof that he could be victorious even by following the rules of Spira, had left him distantly crippled. A hail of gunfire would have been great along with this attack. Some of the ammo Takato had created for him would've been a great edge against this Magi. Like fighting fire with fire in some way, even on a lower level, but his word was his word.

He readied himself, the energy still flowing from his blade and his form, his crimson stare never breaking. This guy...........he wasn't normal. While his face didn't reflect it, he knew this was going to hurt if he got through. This mage took the Curse Wave and a Laser and suvived. Maybe now, some real effort would be needed?

It was as if Fate got punched in the jaw, his form flying backwards through the air from the raw force before hitting the earth with a large explosion. Blood splattered across the earth, two eyes snapping open as his form twitched in a crater. Slowly he stood up with limp hands, glowing with light.”Your abilities have grown at an alarming speed in such a short period of time. Do you realise you're the only people to ever even come in close contact with my body? Congratulations, Ima Terran and Raven Blair.”

A green light ran along his mouth, which had already been repairing damage before suddenly increasing in rate. The grey haired Magi brought up his hand and then summoned up a draft of energy around him. “I believe it is time I show you what it means to wrestle with the hand of a Magi. Basiliske Galeōte meta Kōktō Podōn kai Kakoin Ommatoin to Phōs Emēi Cheiri Kathias tōi Kakōi Dergmati Toxeusatō...”

It wasn't Latin.

It was Ancient Greek.

“Kakon Omma Petrōseōs.”(Evil Eye of Petrification)

Takato, who had been a few ways away from the battle field, suddenly looked up as a beam of light slammed into him. Seconds ticked by, his skin slowly fading into a grey colour of plaster, his eyes slowly losing thought and emotion. His stone form never moved, the look of sheer shock painted across the lifeless face.

In a mere matter of seconds, Takato Rutherford was nothing more than a statue.

"True petrification..." toned Fate with a small smile at the edge of his lips, slowly walking towards the small girl and gunman with glowing blue eyes. "I believe you two have a choice. Fight with the intent to kill, or watch your friend shatter."

Drache had quickly found out that he was a semi-tropical island in a world called Spira, he had hoped to get off the island, make it to the mainland perhaps, but that was not to be, for as he quickly found out as well, you need currency to trade for goods like a boat ride, and unfortunatly, they didn't accept the wrinkled pieces of green paper he still had in his pocket as appropriate payment. The currency of this world was apparently called Gil, and could be obtained by slaying the crazed creatures of this world. Why? He didn't know, perhaps it was a biological desire to gather those little golden coins. Where they kept it while they fought him was an even bigger mystery, one he was glad he didn't have to explore, the killing blow releasing the stored coins.

Now, with about 400 coins somehow all inhabiting one pouch down by his side, he sat in a tree, with the shadow of the branch above hi pulled up and over him, blocking him from sight as he watched the battle through his binoculars. The small dots in the distance jumped into focus as he brought them to his eyes. a tall grey haired man seemed to be fighting with a white haired boy, a little younger than Drache appeared to be, a small female child that wielded an odd lazer toy, devastatingly effective, actually, as she sublimed a meteor of ice that would most likely have killed Drache, even at this distance.

He watched as the two who appeared to be working together assailed the man with crimson tides of energy. lazers, and... Rocks? Very effective rocks, apparently, for the grey-haired man was sent flying back to land on his rump quite a few feet away. The man however, rose from the ground, healing at an unexplainable rate as his skin just seemed to puzzle itself back together. Then he pulled an underhanded manuever, he turned an innocent bystander into stone. That triggered something in him, an ager at the tactic. Something from his old life, he thought. He couldn't tell why, but he hated this guy. I don't see why a voice whispered in his head. I let you live in my head, the least you can do is shut the hell up, I don't need your mindless opinion on everything. Drache thought right back Hey, I'm just saying, you should go help the guy that's going to win. Just shut up!

The voice in his head agreeing with the grey haired man was all he needed to know it was his enemy. Drache dropped silently to the ground, crunching softly on the fallen leaves. He blened into the forest, stalking through the forest, flanking around the battle, making his way towards them, avoiding detection, and planting small charges of shadows every few feet, in case he needed to make an escape, they could function as a distraction. He came up to the last tree before the clearing they were fighting in. He looked around the trunk of the tree, and found himself about eleven feet from his intended target. It was now or never. No hesitation. Drache pulled out his M1911 and slid in one of his shadow bullet magazines That should be enough for this enemy. No matter how fast something could regenerate, a bullet in the brain would do it. No hesitation.

He whipped around the tree and ran at the back of the grey-haired man. He placed one arm around the man's neck and the other brought the gun level with his temple. NO HESITATION! Drache pulled the trigger, once, twice, three times, and the gun barked in synch with his trigger finger, and with the third bullet, he let go of the man and stepped back two steps, drawing his combat knife, just in case.

"..." Zora watched her two friends and punk-ass stranger duking it out at this...Fate person. She intended on watching a little more before completely ignoring them...

...until the short blonde bastard decided to go and get himself petrified.

"That's it!" Zora shouted as she walked up, pushing (more like SHOVING) Raven out of the way befoer punching her right hand into her left palm. "You guys are pathetic! Why are you so afraid of going all out of a boy - a mage like BEANSPROUT here!?" she shouted at the two before realising she was yelling at a small alien kid and sweatdropped before looking at Fate.

"Listen you, I don't know why the hell you're attacking my friends, but I'm not going to be as easy as they are." she said bluntly before rushing straight towarsd him and trying to punch him with her right arm.

Ima didn't even register the words that Fate had said, let alone the arrival of the the new person and gunshots or Zora. All her attention was focused on Takato.

Her emotions were a storm, she couldn't distinguish one from another. Ima wasn't sure if it was because emotions were still so new to her, or if even had she been born on this planet they would still feel like this.

Despite these feelings, none but shock registered on her face. Perhaps she was in shock was a thought that flitted in her mind. Ima had heard of that before.

She put her hand against her friend's. It was cold.

Still feeling that she was most likely in shock, Ima simply stood in front of Takato, gun raised at the enemy mage.

Ima wouldn't let anything else happen to him.

Raven didn't move from the attempted shove. He never moved at all. The eyes of the weapon master remained locked on Fate. He attacked the lady summoner, her gaurdians, and now his friend. The time, if any to go all out, was now. He sighed as he shook with anger. There was no other way. He pushed the sword into the straps on his back, concealing the blade before reaching down to his sides, slowly removing the guns from each side. Takato was frozen in time, yet he would still play a part in this.

The pouch was opened, the ammunition selected. Incendiary and magically enhanced armor piercing rounds. Takato, this one was for you man. He spun the guns on each hand, feeling the force circle around him as the energy aura among his body began to expand, down to the new weapons. The black paint of the arms deepened, a crimson emblem appearing on both weapons. A Pentagram, pulsing with power.

One final flip upward of the guns, and he tightened his grip. He could fight with Spira's rules, but this was personal now, this bastard had to die, and adding the new stranger who himself gave off the distinctive feel of demonic entity. Something about him wasn't right, same as that bitch Zora, but either way they needed all of the help they could get.

"You asked for this."

"Se Dissolvant Circumstantia Falsa..." toned Fate as his form began to break into pieces, turning into a pillar of light before slowly being replaced by a mid-sized boulder, which took the blows for him. In a matter of seconds he reformed away from the newly arrived gunman and girl, his blue eyes snapping upwards with a smile on his lips.

Let the False World Dissolve Itself

One of his pale hands came up, a glow flowing along the edges of his skin. The grey haired Magi began to chuckle, gazing upon the weapon and girl that had tried to kill him before flashing a toothy grin. "So the fourth and fifth warrior arrives at last. Certainly took you long enough...."

He crossed his arms and calmly backed off, gazing at the foursome with almost evil eyes, which came to rest upon the one with the knife. A heavy wind blew through the trees, sparks of ice slowly forming along the earth below. "That was quite annoying. A bullet to the brain can be so troublesome to heal, so I would rather avoid that fate for now."

Energy currents ran along his small form, his hands coming up as his eyes gaze bled with a icy chill. "I believe it is time for my rebuttal, is it not? Veniant Spiritus Glaciales! Extentantur Aeri! Tundram et Glaciem, Loci Noctis Albae!"

(Come, Spirits of Ice! Spread Forth into the Air! Tundra and Glacier in the Realm of White Night!)

The earth below screamed as ice pierced through it, warping the landscape as a deep chill set in upon the area. Spike after spike of ice exploded from ground, decapitating trees and shredding the earth into two. "Crystallizatio Tellustris." (Frozen Earth)

"Wait, what?!" Zora cried as she attempted to jump out of the way of the sudden ice spikes and pillars. "Damn cocky bastard...who does he think he is?!" She blinked as she fell back down, a spike below threatening to impail her. ~Tch...forgot I'm not back at full strength...~ she thought before raising her right arm. ~Oh well..I'm gonna regret this, but it's better than dying such a pathetic deeath!~

Her bandaged right arm grew, being constraint by the bandages before they ripped apart, revealing her demonic arm oncwe again. She swung it down to destroy a majority of the ice before swing it at Fate.

The Grey haired man was gone, and all that remained was a boulder, one with three nickle sized hole punctured right through. The man spoke, letting his confidence take over. Now, dead languages weren't a big part of his training during his life, but he could recognize Latin when he heard it. The dead language rang odd in his ears, he could almost feel the power behind them. Almost.

The only real warning he had was the rumbling of the ground, and then the sudden spire of ice jutting up right in front of Drache. His training may not have covered quasai-Latin, but it did cover logic and evasive manuevers. He began moving, that would look erratic to anyone but himself. He felt the ground, looking for the spots where it was rumbling hardest, and getting the hell out of there when he found one. Even with this logic, there were shards, thrown about by the woman smashing the spikes and pillars, that smashed into him and cut up his arms and face. Once, a spike jutted out of the ground just inches from his face, one more step would have impaled him.

Defence would never get the job done, so Drache began to weave his way towards the Magi, forming a spear of shadows in his hand. He leapt over a low lying spike, that seemed to jut out of the trunk of a tree. He extended the spear forward, locking his eyes and the tip of his spear on the man's heart, thrusting out with all his strength.

Ima lessened her gravity and jumped up, doing the same to the Takato statue and pulling it with her just in case. She let him float down gently, making sure he was in a safe place and that he wasn't harmed. She stayed airborn.

The child fired a few shots at Fate, still not sure of all her feelings. They were so confusing, really they were.

Still, if anything she realized that this person...was very very bad.

But she didn't want to kill him...

A free-handed cartwheel began Raven's evasion. He ran up one of the spikes, flipping over a new one, before running across the formed one at the Magi, joining the newer warrior. He aimed the guns up, steadying his sight.

"Get ready to licked by the Fire Tongue!"

The blasts let loose. Shot after shot from the twin barrels screaming through the air with an inhumanly speed, the small blasts fromt he guns actually enhanced, tempest of flame escaping with each shot as Takato's Incendiary rounds took their mark on Fate, ready to burn the magi to the ground.

Would it be enough? Raven doubted so, but this was the kill shot he aimed for.

Fate reacted in an instant, his right hand whipping outwards with extreme speed to catch the spear with an unusual amount of insane strength. His other hand lashed out, blocking the clawed arm with a glowing grip of energy. Yet, this left him unable to defend against the carefully placed shots, feeling bullets and laser blasts shred into his form with a expansion of flame.

It looked like it hurt.

It did.

The grey haired Magi roared with pain as he let loose a shock wave of magical force, his own form skidding away from the close quaters attackers. A few seconds he fell to his knees, blood pooling around his twitching form. He looked a mess, like a carcase of skewered meat with features.

Then, he looked up and smiled.

Two blue eyes became wild,

"To Sumbolaion Diakonētō Moi, hē Krustallinē Basileia! Epigenēthētō, Taiōnion Erebos, Haiōnie Krustalle!"

(Heed the Contract and Serve Me, Queen of Ice! Come, Unending Darkness, Eternal Glacier!)

It was Ancient Greek.

The temperature dropped instantly. The floor began to break apart into raw ice, slowly becoming covered in a sea of spikes and icicles. The vegetation in the current view became almost snow like, before simply shattering. The wounded Fate was letting loose an extreme amount of magical energy around his body, so much in fact that it was rather hard to breath.

Yet, this spell wasn't finished.

"Pasais Zōais ton Ison Thanaton..."

(Bring Death to All That Has Life...)

Ima felt the shock finally start to wear off, and finally was able to name some of the emotions churning around inside her. Confusion. Sadness. Anger. Worry. Fear.

Hatred.

She had almost forgotten that one.

She didn't get it. Why would someone want to do this? Such a horrible thing, for no true reason that could be seen? It made no sense, no sense at all. The child knew she was naive to human nature. She understood that. But weren't humans supposed to be intelligent beings?

Sometimes she failed to see that.

Ima felt something inside her, and without thinking, called out a single word.

"LEVIATHAN!"

Instantly there was a blindly flash, and the sea beast from before appeared. It gave a great roar, a sound that was like the roar of the ocean. It began gathering water, from the air, nearby rivers and streams, and even from the ice that began to form.

It began swirling around Leviathan, gaining momentum and thus power as he stared at Fate, as if waiting for something. Ima had the same feeling as before, and called out again.

"TIDAL WAVE!"

The hurricane of water slammed down onto the enemy mage.

Safe to say, Fate had no chance in finishing the spell. The water crushed his bones and smashed him into the earth, a slient scream ripping out from his aching jaws. Once it was over, the grey haired Magi was simply left twitching on the floor. His head slowly lifted up from the ground, staring straight at the foursome with narrowed eyes.

A flash ran along the area, a gasping Takato falling to his knees as the petrification spell came to a bitter end. His amber eyes blinked in confusion as he tried to gather himself, noting the newly arrivals before gazing at the seemingly defeated Fate.

A single palm landed on the angry Ima's shoulder, Takato's British voice echoing with a hint of warmth,

"That'll do, Ima, that'll do."

Fate just spat out blood and slowly tried to stand, only to fall once again with a echoing crunch of bones. A chuckle slipped over his blood licked lips, hissing over them all. "C-Congratulations, I didn't expect this at all..."
