Calamity Trigger - Sin (World: Spira)

A few days later....

A heavy breeze swept through the park of Magnolia Town, a certain amber eyed teen relxing in the grass in his usual gear with a small fox by his side. All seemed quiet and peaceful after the tournament, with the prize money being split into three ways, all because of one kind little girl who had vanished.

Yet, peace came to an end in a single moment.

"Huh?"

Takato stood up in awe as he stared up at the black sky above, his eyes growing wider as sparks of light tore across the clouds and began to come together in a sea of power. It was as if the very heavens were tearing open, a twister of cosmic purple light ever slowly coming to exist within the centre of the midnight sky

Then the screams started.

His eyes never left a single spot though. They were focused on the massive object in the sky, a sphere of (seemingly) pure water and light. It was slipping through the purple light, launching many objects to impact into the city earth. Takato barely had time to jump back as one of those objects impacted before him, his hands coming up in an instant

Ten large blue bug like creatures formed before him in a instant, sprouting from those shells and glowing with flickering blue light. Takato gaped before jumping backwards, uttering a line of latin as he got ready to defend himself. He didn't know what was happening, or why, but he wasn't about to lay down and die

Ah, who was he kidding?

He was screwed.

"Oy oy oy! Pay attention, bean sprout!"

A monsterous hand came down on the strange creatures near Takato as Zora walked up to him.

"Whatever these things are...they aren't gonan wait for you to attack." she said as her right arm return to its normal size. Kuro merely meowed from her head.

"G-got it!"

Takato held up his hand and a small glow flared to life around it, quickly revealing a card with a certain fox on it. Pactio. His eyes went bright blue for a single moment as his voice echoed loudly, as if trying to rush the magic within the card and himself "Adeat!"

A spiral of light swam down his fleshed arm before coming to focus on the palm. Within a blink of an eye the Rutherford had a focused weapon, giving it a practice swing before launching forward into the array of growing bug creatures, slashing wildly with the pulsing magical sword.

He seemed to struggle with it, but managed to kill a few of the flashing creatures with his meager sword skill nonetheless. In their death they simply vanished in a blue light, leaving behind a panting magical user infused with Pactio magicka.

"What are these things!?"

Takato jumped backwards as more "pods" impacted near them. He grunted and held the sword in one hand, his other palm flickering with a small flame "Guess we've got to do it the hard way! Zora, lets cut through!"

"Don't go killing off every single one or this will never end!" she said. "Kuro, I'll need a little help!"

The cat meowed as he jumped onto her left shoulder, melting into blackness as it covered her arm. Her left arm turned black and looked like her right arm as they both grew in side. "Out of our way!" She shouted as she used her clawwed arms to slash adn oss the bugs around.

Delovere was walking happily towards Zora & Takato when she saw the bugs & immediately her smile faded & in one breath she threw Kaede into Target's arms & ran towards them scythe ready for fighting.

She stopped when she reached Zora confused to what these things were but still ready to fight.

"Delovere, keep with us!"

Takato shouted as he dashed forward through the crowd of bugs, slashing those in his way. He suddenly paused as he reached the edge of the park hill, his eyes growing wider as he stared downwards to the park entrance from the hill peak. There was something blocking their escape, and it wasn't as large as the bugs

It was much bigger.

"W-what is that thing!?"

A roar was his answer as two large wings spread, crimson eyes peaking from a scaled face, a large red ring spinning behind it. A massive black dragon like creature stood on hind legs, its arms un crossing as it growled wildly upon spotting the Western Mage and those following behind him,

"Oh...boy...."

That thing did not looked pleased.

Delovere whirled around & ran behind Takato with the wind hitting against her face causing some trouble to see until she saw the behemoth that stood before them & came to screeching halt.

"Can't we catch a damn break," she exclaimed.

Pushing her scythe out in front she immediately went into a defensive pose, "You know I didn't have these problems until I met you mage."

"Stop standing aroudn and making your self an easy target!" Zora said as she took out the bugs that wer coming up from behind. She caught up with the others and stopped, looking at the dragon. "The hell is that thihng...? What are we suppose to do? There's no way we can take that thing on!"

"Don't think its giving us much of choice..."

Indeed the dragon looked pretty angry as it suddenly flapped its wings, and began to snarl with its gaze locked upon them. It was as if the beast was daring them to attack it, but letting it be known that it would slaughter them no matter what they did. Its head bent slightly and a fierce glow began to amit from its mouth, the wheel on its back begining to spin.

Takato took a step backwards and stabbed his sword into the earth, bringing up his hands as he closed his eyes. A bright blue light lit up around him as the earth began to gain a glypth beneath him, magical energy running over his fingers "Locos Umbrae Regnans Scáthach! In Manum Meum Dedo Iaculum Daemonium Cum Spinis Triginta!" (Scathach, who Reigns over the Realm of Shadows! Surrender unto my Hands Thirty Barbed Demonic Spears!)

Sadly, the spell was not yet done, and the dragon seemed to be taking a step towards them. Takato strained with the magical energy, unknownly making himself a target that couldn't defend himself.

Zora merely stared as Takato started casting his strange spell, then glancing at the dragon before them. She got a few good feet in front of him as Kuro got off her left arm and charged at teh dragon.

"Better hurry up...I don't know how long we'll be able to stall him. "she said. Kuro dashed at the Dragon, slowly growing bigger and more beast like. Jumping up, he slashed down at the dragon.

Delovere seeing Takato had made himself nothing more than a target charged at the dragon to create a distraction. She didn't know if her mind powers would work on it since she never had to face a dragon before and let's be honest here this thing looked freaking mean.

Running along Kuro she launched an attack with scythe knowing it was doomed to fail and out the corner of her eyes she saw Kaede running towards them.

"NO!," she managed to exclaim still in mid-attack.

The Dragon roared as each attack hit it, but barely left a small scratch on its almost metallic hide. Its head bent back before its eyes began to glow with a thunderous spark of light, its mouth flaring with power. The wheel behind it began to spin rapidly, the air becoming heated

"Iaculatio Fulgoris!" (Lightning Spears)

Its attack never had a chance to form as Takato finished his spell, ten enormous blasts of light exploding outwards like waves, zipping straight and impaling the dragon with spear shaped forms. The Western Mage could only pant as he brought down his arms, sparks of leftover electricity crackling at the edges of his fingers

It was all for naught.

The beast roared loudly as its wings spread, an almost holy light ripping outwards as the spears of light were destroyed, leaving a few small wounds, which were already healing at an insane rate. Takato could only stare in shock as the dragon bent its body, flashes of black energy forming around it in the shape of large orbs

"H-how? That was a B-class spell!"

It didn't seem to care.

"What the hell is this thing made out of?!" Zora cried as her attacks did nothing to it. "Oy, bean sprout! We better make a run for it if we want to live. If your little spell barely hurt it, ther's no way any of us can even hope to beat it!" She raised her enlarged arms and slashed down at the dragon again.

Ima looked up at the dragon, amazed. Earth was such a fascinating planet, there was nothing like this at all where she was from. And Takato and the other people from the tournament were there too! Honestly Ima thought she never would have seen them again.

The girl walked up to Takato and tugged on his pant leg. "Hi Takato! What are you doing?" She said, smiling, completely oblivious to what was happening.

"I-Ima!"

The dragon roared and launched its massive orbs of energy with an odd impulse of light, shrugging off all attacks once again. Takato panicked in an instant, reacting by sweeping before the small girl and throwing out his metal arm with a shout of raw fright and forced protective determination

"Limes Aeriales!" (Boundary Wall of Air)

One of the black blasts washed over them, only to collide into his metal arm with a howl of wind. A light was being forced from the Western Mage, trying to counter the insanely powerful blast, all while his his arm began to shatter from the sheer strain. It was simply too powerful, and all too fast.

It could take no more. Takato was forced back as the orb exploded, a scream ripping from his throat as his arm gained cracks and brutal edges of dead life. He was shoved to the floor, his body twitching as he groaned and opened his half-lid eyes towards the still roaring dragon as it prepared another attack.

"N-no way..!"

"Hey, you ok?!" Zora called out from behind her as she herad Takato's scream. She had no time to react as the strange orbs the dragon released hit the center of her being dead on. She was sent flying from near the dragon all the way to where Takato and Ima were, completely unconsious. Kuro had protected her from only a small fraction of the damage and all taht was left of him was a black sahdow lying next to Zora.

Ima was also thrown back by the sheer force of the attack, though she was mostly protected from harm due to Takato's efforts. She was vastly confused. What had just happened?

She got off from where she had been knocked to the ground, looking over to where Takato was laying. Even though she didn't really get what was happening, she understood one thing very clearly.

That big thing had hurt her friend.

The girl stood up and took her laser gun out of her sweater pocket. Dropping her own gravity field, she positioned herself right in front of the great creature's head. "You..." The child whispered, pointing her gun at it. "BIG MEANIE!"

With that said, she pulled the trigger and fired the red laser straight into its mouth.

As the battle waged on, a white haired youngster got into the area, observing the battle from a safe distance with an uneasy expression. Even though he was in a seemingly safe distance, he was still afraid. Who wouldnt be? But still, he carelessly started walking towards the dragon and the group.

As he closed his eyes, pink energy surrounded his form, imitating the look of chains, which vanished in a blink of an eye and than a circle of energy appeared on the ground, below him. Walking outside of the circle, a huge gargoyle flew upwards. Wings spread, beastly roars echoing in the area, as it flew higher to be above the dragon, roaring louder every moment he was in the air.

After that, the youngster knelt on the ground, placing his palm on his chest, staring on the ground, as purple energy evaporated from his body even more, as he was casting...something.

The dragon barely blinked as the laser slammed into its jaw, ripping through skin and making a small hole. It seemed to laugh before a terrible noise exploded from his maw, the wound sealing as it began to shake, its wheel on the back turning madly. The air screamed, a small vortex of light flaring around its form.

It didn't seem too pleased to see a new creature enter its vision, nor getting shot. Within mere moments, the beast unleashed an incredible amount of power that shot up into the sky and created a massive storm cloud above the park with a fierce following shock wave.

"W-whats it doing!?"

Its maw shook as a ball of energy gathered quickly, its throat and teeth becoming the center focus within the spinning power. In a blink of an eye, the beast blasted into the sky, and was gone. Silence echoed, a deadly silence.

Then, something sparked in the stormy sky above.

Looking up at the sky, Ima let herself float to the ground. That thing was so strong! Her gun had hardly injured it at all, and it had healed itself right after. What could they do to stop it?

Remembering what had happened just before that, she ran back over to Takato. "You okay?" She asked the teen, even though the answer was most likely 'no'. "And what was that big thingy?" The child had the strangest feeling in her chest that she couldn't identify...

Agari still kneeling on the ground looked up to the sky, with eyes wide open. He wasnt sure what was the beast going to do next, but quickly punched the arm he had on his chest to the ground, leaving a huge crack and pieces of ground flying away. A cute, chibby pink mole head, with a ribbon on its head, came out.

Quickly sitting on the moles head, grabbing the ribbon, giving a slightly annoyed expression, he sighed "I better work on changing the appearance later." and than he was launched forward, to the band, in attempt to get them away, as he thought, they had the chance to flee now. He was at the band in a moment, but suddenly, something didnt feel right. The mole suddenly vanished, letting him fall to the ground, rolling towards them.

"I have no idea..."

Takato grunted as he began to stand, holding his cracked metal arm as he glanced up at the stormy sky above, echoing shouts of fighting and more in the distance. He drug his form over to the knocked out Zora and bent down, closing his eyes as he began to utter a Latin chant under his breath.

A small light fell over the girl as he brought up his scarred metal arm, laying on her body. His voice echoed through the air as the incantation magic passed through his arm "Tui Gratia Jovis Gratia Sit Cura...." (Let the Grace of Jupiter Be the Cure for Your Sake)

Yet, even as he began to heal the girl, something howled through the skies above.

A single horrifying roar.

The child followed Takato over to the other girl and watched as he healed her. She held back her amazed comments this time, feeling that this was probably not the best time for it.

She looked up to the dark sky again, wondering when the creature was going to attack. "Do you have any idea how we can stop it? At this rate things don't look good..." Ima said.

"N-Ngh...." Zora mutterd as the magic did its job....to an extent. She opened her eyes and saw Takato and Ima. "D-Damn...where is that monster? Is he gone?" She managed to mutter. Her arm twitched and she sighed. "No good...can't move."

"Is this...the end?"

Those were the last words heard within the park as a massive howl of energy exploded from the clouds, tearing into the earth and washing over them completely. Yet, oddly enough, there wasn't a single drop of pain, even as it tore the ground apart with its raw untamed power. A single roar could be heard, the world turning black.

This is the way the world ends, not with a bang but a whimper

"W-where am I..?"

Takato's eyes slowly flickered open, flinching as he took in the world around him, surprised he was not dead. He slowly stood up, looking at his body with an odd gaze. His metal arm had, strangely enough, been repaired. He didn't feel a drop of pain, and his magical reserves at full strength.

"HEY! You people okay?!"

He blinked and looked up, meeting the eyes of a fiery haired man.
