The First Shop Tournament: Sign Up Day

The man blinks at Zach moving in front of Sera as he stands talk, smiling lightly. "Ahh...so taht's why. Either way, it's rude not for me to introduce myself. I am Zeiro Yurakazi, one of the people who owns PSY." HE moves out of their way, extending a hand as he invited them at the doorway he came out of. "At any rate, we were expecting you for some time. Please, won't you enter?"

Zach gave a small glare as he began to walk inside. Within the door there was a large room that had an equally as large arena-like area. Inside there was a woman with blue hair wearing an all white skinny suit. "Her again?" the woman said with a small glare. "Its not much of a challenge when things are like this, and didn't we get what we needed last time?"

Sera peeks out from behind Zach as Zeiro looks to the girl with a small smile. "Now now, Maria, that's no way to treat our guest...she WAS suppose to come in earlier due to a certain someone, but it seems our little lady pulled a vanishing act on us for quite some time."

"H-Hah...." Sera decides to stay hidden behind Zach, hoping Maria wouldn't yell at her.

Maria gave a small glare at the girl as she was hiding, bending over to her. "She's even more spineless then the last time! If she hasn't awakened yet, then what's the damn point? Fine let's see if she can at least start the console..."

Zach seemed confused as he looked at the girl, then the arena in front of her, and finally the guy. He gave a protective look as he said, "Hey, just what's this all about. You guys know everything and we don't know anything."

"Just shut up and let the girl fight me," Maria said as she placed a deck on the table. "Who knows, might jar a memory or two. That's what you came for, isn't it little one?" Her tone was obviously a mocking one, showing no respect for her opponent at all.

"T-That's not it at all!" Sera stammered as she peeks out again. "I...I just remember someone telling me to come here. T-That's all..."

"Oh? Someone's a bitprotective of her." Zeiro smirts at Zach. "Don't worry. It's not like we're going to hurt her or anything. You should just relax. We invited you, after all. As for teh girl...there's a deck prepared for you at the console. I'm sure you'll know what it is after using it.

Sera hesitated before sighing, seeing as how hoding wont do anything as she walks over to the console. The moment she made contact with it, it staretd up and causes her to jump back.

"By the way...where is he, anyways?" Zeiro looks over at Maria as Sera set sup her field and shuffles her deck. "I haven't seen him today either....is he sick?"

Maria began to shuffle her deck as well, her starting unit already prepared. As she did, she addressed Zeiro's question. "I was summoned down here same as you. He must be somewhere, but I haven't seen him. Its annoying that he can do all this from that little room of his..."

Zach was sitting down, his eyes glaring slightly. When a Cardfight is accepted, no one can interfere. Its an unwritten rule among Fighters, but he couldn't help but feel concerned.

"I'll be using the same deck as you," Maria said as she drew her five cards. "That would be the best way to determine skill and use of the units. Don't worry though, I haven't had any hand in constructing these decks. I'm as blind as you are."

"Ahh, that is true...it's as if we're his puppets." Zeiro smiles at Maria before waving his finger. "Now now, Maria, I'm sure I made this quite unfair for you. You should hae realized this when you took a look at the deck. We'll just see how lost she really is."

Sera didn't really understand anything, but for some reason, this deck kept her at ease. She draws the first five cards , returning thre t othe dec kbefore drawing again. "S-Stand up, Vanguard!"

She flipts over her vanguard, revealing a strange, black and blue dog. "Fullbau!" Drawing a card, she takes another and places it over Fullbau. "Ride, Blaster Javelin!"

Fullbau was swallowed up by darkness as a man holding a black javelin appears on the field.

"When Fullbau is riden by Javelin, I can search my deck for a Blaster Javelin." Sera looks through her deck, pulling out the fallen dark hero and adding it to her hand. "Turn end. She says, shuffling her deck.

Maria gave a small grin at how basic her start was. Her card was Fullbau as well, showing that her deck was at least similar. She drew her card as she said, "I ride, Blaster Javelin!"(8k) The warrior appeared in the same spot as Maria moved her hand to her deck, taking out the same fallen hero almost immediately. "Also, Gururubau call!" A vicious wolf appeared in the space next to the warrior.(7k) "Gururubau attack! Also, due to its skill, its power is increased by 2 thousand!"

"Abyss Freezer." Sera didn't hesitate to place th draw trigger on the guardian circle, preventing Gururubau from hitting her vanguard. She puts him in the drop zone as she looks at Maria.

"Pretty expected..." Maria said as she pointed down to her other card. "Still, I've got a unit here waiting to attack. Blaster Javelin, attack!" As the spear wielding warrior of darkness dashed forward, Maria placed her hand to her deck and picked up the top card. The warrior started to glow as she called out, "Grim Reaper! Critical Trigger! Naturally I'll give all the effects to my vanguard!"

"No guard. Damage Check." She places two cards in her damage field, the second glowing lightly as it shows Abyss Freezer. "Draw trigger." With that, she draws, stands, and draws again. "Ride, Blaster Dark!"Justl ike Fullbau, Javelin was engulfed in darkness as the dark warrior appears on the field.

"Skull Witch Nemain call!" Shep laces the 3k grade 2 next o to dark, instantly activating her counterblast and sending Phantom Blaster Dragon to the drop before she drew two cars. "Javelin behind Nemain...Skill." She calls javelin behind th wtich, discarding Blaster Dragon again to search for the same card.

"Nemain attacks Gururubau for 9k."

Zach looked on in awe at how well she as using the Shadow Paladin deck. He'd never even seen someone using it to this degree. The idea that she was able to reinforce her hand AND thin her deck of all but every Phantom Blaster Dragon within it was amazing.

Maria grinned lightly as she said, "Very well... no guard..." Her unit was destroyed, leaving the field as she looked down at her vanguard. With Blaster Javelin in the soul, the usually 9 thousand power Blaster Dark has 10 thousand power during both turns. She even maximized her hand, but still... it seems like she still can't make those tough decisions yet.

"Now...Blaster Dark attacks your vanguard." Sera rests Blaster Dark. "Drive Check." She takes the top card and flips it over, revealing Masquerade of the Void. "No Trigger."

"No guard," Maria declared without fear as she took the damage. She drew her card as she closed her eyes lightly. "Now I think I'll show you the true power of this deck, since you forgot what I showed you before. Ride, Blaster Dark!" The spear wielding warrior was engulfed in darkness as Blaster Dark appeared on her field. Its face had the form of Maria's with her long blue hair to match. "Also, I call Demon World Castle, Donnerschlag!" A large castle-like golem creature appeared onto the field next to Blaster Dark. "Now, Blaster Dark, attack her vanguard!" She lifted the top card of her deck as the sword of the fallen hero rose. It wasn't a trigger. It came down hard right aiming for the chest of the foe.

"No guard." Sera flips over her card and places it in the damage zone, revealing no trigger as well. Zeiro blinks as he watches the cardfight, seeing nothing abnormal since the last time Sera came to them. "What do you think of this battle, boy?" He asks Zach, not taking his eyes off the fight.

Zach turned to Zeiro for a moment before returning to the fight. "They seem pretty evenly matched right now," he said lightly, looking at Sera. "To be able to use a high level deck so well... I didn't think she'd be able to do that.... Its like the air in here changed when the fight started."

Maria's Blaster Dark turned to Donnerschlag with a small grin. "Now, go and attack her vanguard as well, Donnerschlag! Due to Donnerschlag's skill, when it attacks, its power is increased by 2 thousand for the battle!"

"Is that so?" Zeiro smiles, chuckling lightly. "To be honest, I thought this battle was pretty one sided in the beginning. Then again, That's just me."

"Nemain Intercept." She moves Nemain from the front rear to the guardian Circle, blocking Donnerschlag's attack. Putting the grade 2 in the Drop Zone, she draws and stands her field. "Ride, Phantom Blaster Dragon!" Blaster Dark cries out in pain as he was engulfed in darkness, replaced by a black dragon holding a lance.

"Call." In an instant, she clals out Blaster Dark with Doranbau, Masquerade of the Void in front of Javelin, and Witch of Arianrhod behind her vanguard. "Skill." She rests Arianrhod, discarding a card and drew a card from her deck. "Boost from Javelin, Void attacks Donnerschlag for 18k."

"One sided?" Zach said with a blinking expression. "How can a battle like this be one sided?" As that was said the Donnerschlag unit was destroyed without even an attempt at guarding. "Come to think of it, Maria drew a critical trigger before. She hasn't even made an attempt to protect herself with it."

"Well, you'll just have to wait and see." Zeiro simply said as Sera rests Phantom Blaster Dragon. "Phantom attacks your Blaster Dark." The dragon lest out a bellowing roar as it pulls back its lance, lashing it out towards Blaster Dark.

"No guard," Maria said simply as Blaster Dark stood, unfazed as the warrior prepared for the strike. "Even that attack? At 11k, is should be an easy one," Zach said, now getting more confused. He'd personally never seen a Shadow Paladin deck to understand what was happening.

"Maria has 2 damage...while the girl has three. However, her hand is only four cards while her opponent has six." Zeiro speaks to no one in particular other than himself as he continues to observe the battle.

"Twin Drive. First check." Sera flips over the card which shines lightly. "Critical trigger. I give the critica lto my vanguard and 5k power to Blaster Dark. Second Check." she flips over the next card, revealing Dark Shield, Mac Lir.

Maria gave a grin as she checked the damage. The first check was Dark Shield, Mac Lir. The second was a Blaster Javelin. Neither of which were trigger units. "Not too horrible, but its almost time I finish this," Maria said in a cocky tone.

"Oh really?" Sera narrows her eyes as well as Zeiro. The girl before them was acting rather...confident than the one they met prior to today as well as the girl Zach met. "Maria, don't screw hyourself over with that cocky attitude of yorus." He smiels to her, silently hinting that something's different.

"It's not like I'd lose to someone like her," Maria said as she looked at the Blaster Dark who had yet to attack. If she's really unawakened, then she has no chance against me. I'll give her a beating she won't forget this time.

"Bake me a cake if you DO lose then." He starts laughing out loud at his self made bet as Sera rests Dark and Doranbau. "Attack Blaster Dark for 24k."
