The First Shop Tournament: Sign Up Day

Hirotama grinned as he said, "Do you think that will help you? When Sky Diver hits, I can activate its skill! I'll move it to the soul and now I can Superior Call a unit in my hand. Like Juggernaut Maximum!" A large football player appeared in the area the Sky Diver was once in. (11k) "Now, Sky Diver number two, attack her vanguard!"

"E-Eh?!" Sera's eyes widen. She didn't really expect this....then again, she never seen Sky Diver before. "G-Guard! Lily Knight of the Valley!" a Red haired man adorned with leafy, green armor appears to block the Diver's attack, disappearing with a flash as it was hit.

"Tsk..." Hirotama said in disappointment. "In that case, Juggernaut Maximum attack her vanguard! Soul Blast! With Juggernaut Maximum's Soul Blast, its power is raised by 5 thousand. Its just the same as Brakki's skill."

"N-No guard..." Valkyrie Laurel was send to the Damage Zone as her total damage was 4 (i believe). "Is...Is that it?"

Juggernaut Maximum disappeared, returning to the deck as Hirotama grinned. "I'll let you off easy and end my turn with that. But in the next round, I should be able to inflict two damage easily with my power line up, so consider this your last turn!"

~With an empty hand? I don't think so...~ Sera sweat drops lightly as she stands her units and drew her card. Her hand was filled with triggers and by the off chance of him pulling a heal trigger, she didn't want to risk anything.

"I'll attack you first with Glass Beads Dragon for a total of 16k!"

Hirotama looked at his field and looked at his empty hand, realizing he could do nothing more than take the hit. He placed the card in the damage zone, revealing a High Speed Brakki. "You may think you've got me, but my natural abilities can still see me through. That, after all, is what makes me great."

"Oh really? Maiden, attack General Seyfried!" Sera declares, resting her vanguard. "Since you can't do anything to guard yourself, Twin drive." She flips over her two cards, revealing a Knight of Harvests, Genes and a Heal Trigger "I heal one damage and give power to my Hey Yo pineapple...." She takes a card from her damage zone and puts it in the drop zone.

"Now I activate Maiden's PErsona Blast!" She flips a card in her damage zone and discards a Maiden of Trailing Roses from her hand. "I take hte first five cards from the top of my deck and can call up to two units to the field." She takes the first five, then retires Glass beads and BladeSeed." I call! Carolla Dragon and Valkyrie Laurel!" A familar green dragon appears in the back rear as another maiden like unit appears next to trailing Roses. Sera sends teh remaining three to her deck and shuffles.

"Now, Hey yo, attack his vanguard!"

"Damage check..." he declared as he looked a the top card of his deck. It was Cheerful Lynx. He grinned as he said, "Ha ha! Draw Trigger. I've grant 5 thousand power to my vanguard and also draw." He then looked on in disbelief as her unit's skill was activated. What's worse is that she now had two more units that could attack. As the Pineapple came to attack he was ready to guard, but he looked at his hand and saw that it was Juggernaut Maximum. He made an angered grunt as he picked up the top card in his deck. It was a Critical Trigger, meaning he had lost.

Sera blinks lightly as she tilts her head, seeing the critical trigger and draw trigger. It took her awhile before it hits her. "I...Won?"

A booming laugher was heard from behind the counter as Yuki looks like she was dying of laughter, getting many odd looks from people who were signing up for the tournament. "I knew your cockyness was bad, but DAMN! How did you manage to fuck yourself over with no cards in your hand?! HA!"

"Th-this means nothing!" Hirotama said as he stood up. "Sera Mizuna, from this moment on, I see you as my eternal rival! When its time for the tournament, I'll dash your hopes of victory myself!" With those words, the boy picked up his cards quickly, storming out of the building.

Zach walked over to Sera with a grin on his face. "Looks like you made a friend there. Hey, are you using cards from the new packs? How did you know how to make those work?"

She sighs as Hirotama leaves before turning to Zach with her scratching at her cheek. "A-Actually...I already memorized their abilities. I had a few Neo Nectars before today as well from another box set I split with another. Honestly...I just used their abilities whenver I was able to."

Zach blinked lightly as he looked at her. "Memorized them already? But I saw you buy the box just now, didn't you? How did you memorize them so soon?"

"Well...I just have a really good memory of these things so a glance at their abilities is more than enough." Sera said lightly as she gathers her cards before holding Maiden of Traling Roses with a rather...forlorn expression. "Even with my great memory...I still can't remember anything about myself to be honest."

Zach blinked once, followed by a light smile. "Well it sounds like a pretty useful skill you got there. Its too bad for me we're in the tournament on the same day." He then thought for a moment and then turned to her. "Hey, you said you wanted to see other cards and strategies, right? I heard about another shop. We could go check it out, if you want."

"A-Ahh...I was actually going to head over to a place later. I heard from someone of a cardshop there. Although..." she places her finger on her chin and thinks deeply. "I can't remember who it was that told me. That's really strange." She blinks, then nearly falls uot of her chair as she looks at Zach with a surprised look on ehr face. "Y-You're entering the tournament on the same day as me?!"

"Heh heh," Zach chuckled lightly. "Well I was right before you in line, so its only natural, right? But I don't mind checking the place out with you if you don't mind. You've got me pretty curious about what you've got planned."

Sera blinks at Zach before she chuckles as well. "Well...That's the problem. I only know what mall it's in. I don't know the name or where exactly in the mall it is. Besides...Do you reallly have to come?" She seems rather confused, but at the same time trying to lead Zach away from going to the store with her for some reason.

Zach blinked lightly, seeing that she must not want him to come along. What other reasoning would there be for a story like that? He turned lightly and said, "Well, if it feels like a wild goose chase then I guess I can just go to the Shop I was talking about. Don't worry about me." Of course, he wasn't prepared to let it end so easily. If it was a secret area, it was that much more interesting.

"I-I'm sorry, Zach...I just have this feeling. That's all..." She mutters before smiling. "At any rate, I really should be going now. Again, Sorry!" She gathers her things and left Card Capital as quick as she could.

Sometime after she left, Sera arrives to the mall she was talking to Zach about earlier. She walks down the giant building, looking around for any signs of a cardshop. "That's odd...I'm sure I remember someone telling me it was in this building..."

Zach was following far behind Sera, looking on to make sure he wasn't seen and occasionally hiding. He seemed very suspicious to those who saw him, but luckily Sera was too spaced out to notice. "Hmm... maybe she wasn't lying about that after all..." he said, now wondering if the shop even existed.

At that moment, a pulse echoed through Sera as a dark narrow corridor appeared before her. It was as if she was transported there. Within the corridor, making a turn, there was a door. Above it was a sign that simply said PSY.

"E-Eh?!" Sera blinks as she starts to panic slightly, looking around as she ended up in an unfamiliar area. "Where...did I just end up in? Was I really that spaced out?" She hesitantly takes a sten forward and turns the corner, blinking as she sees the doorway with PSY on the top. "Huh...? Could this be it?" At first, she dare not move near the door. After a bit of time, she starts walking up to the door that automatically opened for her. She peeks her head insdie before walking inside the shop itself, looking around as she was being incredibly cautious and paranoid.

Inside the shop, it was very dark. The only lights within it were that of holograms, projecting rare and hard to find cards. There seemed to be no one inside the shop, until Zach walked in and called out, "Hey there, so this is the famous shop you were talking about, huh?"

Deep within the shop, a figure was watching them over the screen. The figure pressed a button, signaling someone else to go and greet the new guests.

Sera walks over to one of the hologram cards, leaning over as she takes a look at them. She jumps and nearly falls face first as Zach appears out of nowhere. "Y-you almost gave me a heart attack!" She whines at him.

"Welcome to cardshop PSY"

Sera blinks as she turns tot he direction of the voice. Another door opens up, revealing a rather tall man with white hair. He wore a rather large black trench coat sort of outfit with a dark grey school uniform of sorts underneath paired with knee high boots.

His silvery eyes trails from Zach to Sera, smiling lightly as he walks up to them, bowing. He looks back up and blinks, giving Sera a puzzilng look. "You...look rather different than when we first met, Miss."

"E-Eh?" Sera backs away, hiding behind Zach. "What's going on...?"

"First met?" Zach said as he was now very confused. "Sera said she doesn't remember much about herself, so just who are you?" He seemed to be quite defensive towards her as he was now making sure that he was in front of her.
